Very good write up. I very much enjoyed your hunting story.

Your 358 JDJ is a very good choice in a Contender. I have a box of the 200 grain FTX bullets to try in my 35 Bullberry when I get a little time to play with it again. I still have 3 boxes of the 180 SSP's. I will ration them out in the future. I have a hard time believing Hornady quit making them.

The 200 FTX opens up pretty good out of my 357 max at 1800 fps. One inch exit hole at 120 yards.
