PLACEMENT OF HEADSHOTS ON DEER WITH RIFLES, OR PISTOLS WITH RIFLE OR RIFLE LIKE CARTRIDGES, IS NOT NEAR AS CRITICAL AS IF YOU ARE USING A REVOLVER. I DON'T TAKE HEADSHOTS ON DEER ANYMORE.

45MAN: yes sir, I feel much more confident with scoped rifle than any handgun. I use a Howa 6.5 Creedmoor with 14x scope and I get sub-moa with no problem. But a bench rest handgun? I am happy with a 3 inch group at 50 yds and I know that is the difference between brain and jaw. Nope, not me.
That perfect shot I mention would be 10 yds. But with my 44? No need.
