Nice looking gun & a great shot on that Montana white tail. I love hunting them up there along the river. Almost like jump shooting pheasants. Congratulations!

Congrats Pab. Fresh venison and with a handgun. Nothing beats that.

Nice rig!! It it a Bisley style grip frame? I looked at the same gun only in .454 Casull but opted for the Ruger Toklat, pretty much due to the fact it was already set up for a scope if I choose to ever use one. When looking at the BFR I did not remove the grips to see what the grip frame was but it did feel comfortable in my hand. I must say I AM NOT a fan of the Bisley grip in any way, shape or form.

Pab, what holster do you use for that rig? To borrow a phrase from Taffin, it looks like a "perfect packing pistol" for a scoped revolver.

I don't like Bisley grips either. Its been a while since I removed the rubber grip from this gun but IIRC it was more of a Bisley type grip. The rubber grips make it very similar to a SBH type grip though which I prefer.

It is about as close to a perfect packing pistol as a scoped revolver can get. I use a holster I made to carry it. Here it is with my 6" FA in it. It can be carried strong side or cross draw. Its very comfortable and hardly noticeable on the belt.
