Ive heard many many reports of good results with the 180gr speer and 158gr hornady xtp FP. Ive shot neither of the 2 but....after seeing so much on them wouldnt be afraid to try.

I have enough 180gr hornady SSP to last me for life lol. But i like trying other things sometimes for funsies.

That's an interesting pic H2O. Not surprisingly, the good 'ole Core-lokt performed very well. I took a doe with a factory Rem. 200 grain load. I didn't recover the bullet, but the terminal performance was excellent. I've used the 150 gr. As my go to in a .308 Win. for years with great success.

It's hard to beat a factory Core Lok in the old 35 Rem.

I hate to say but my XP Custom shop gun is zeroed with Walmat Remingtom Core Lok right now

I have some hand loads in 180 SSPB but they are marginally better.

I?m going to try and cull a deer tomorrow with my .35 Remington Dominator Pistol and 158gr Hornady XTP billers running over 2,300 FPS.

If all works well and I can get one close enough, I?ll have ballistics reporting for you.

Sounds good is it the flat point version? If they hold together they'll probably level deer

Hollow point.

I?ve used the 158gr HP-XTP in .357 Mag for deer and the 180gr HP-XTP in .35 Rem for deer.

Never the 158gr HP-XTP in .35 Remington. Which, is why I?m trying it.

Science!!

Well, if the right deer doesn?t come close enough, I?m plugging it with my 32? barreled Benchrest .260 Rem rifle.

I?ve been tasked with providing someone with a deer. I?m to come back with my deer.

Or on it.

Lmao Zee the only time I come back on a deer is when it snows and its easiest to use them as a toboggan...
