Went out shooting today for about the tenth time with my new sbhh, and it dawned on me that I may not know exactly the best way to grip the revolver. I find myself uncertain as to what to do with the offhand and which thumb to cock the hammer with.
Could ou guys offer some help here, possibly a photo or two?

Thanks!

I hold the gun with my strong hand with the thumb pointing towards the target and the trigger finger resting against the front of the trigger guard, until ready to squeeze off the shot. I wrap my weak hand fingers around my strong hand fingers with the index finger resting against the front of the trigger guard, and I wrap my weak hand thumb up and over my strong hand thumb and cock the hammer with the weak hand thumb. This keeps a consistant strong hand grip throughout the string.

Excellent, thank you gentlemen. After trying this I thought, "man this feels so natural." Look forward to shooting again!

yeah but I'd pay money to watch some little wussie gangster pull the trigger on one of my big bores like that, all his pretty gold teeth would be in his throat.

looked like a 329PD, he got what he deserved for shooting a gun like that without knowing what he was doing, of course if it wasn't his gun and the owner let him shoot it like that I think I'd been beating the owner over the head with it. I won't let anyone shoot my heavy kickers anymore unless they are experienced with hard recoiling guns. I had a couple of close calls with people than wanted to shoot my guns and I obliged.
