I get a phone call from my neighbors today to let me know that 5 police officers were in my house . I asked her to put one of them on the phone and his response was we have it under control a bunch of guns and a laptop was stolen. So I rush home to find all of my long guns , a GP100 I just bought Sunday and a Draco gone. They give me a number to a Detective in the next city over . I call him and he asks me my address & what was missing . I tell him and he replies I might know one of the guys that was captured cause he lives in my area. So I go to the police station . When I walk in there's a total of 4 detecive/police in the room. He gives me a seat and asks me my name then he asks me my address, I tell him and they all chuckled. I asked whats so funny and he shows me a mug shot and asks me if I knew this guy and I said yeah thats my neighbor. He then tells me he was one of 3 or 4 guys caught with my firearms. I replied are you serious, his Grandmother and mother called me to tell me that you guys were in my house! Then he showed me 3 more photos which I didnt know. He then asked me what was missing and I gave him a list of firearms that was missing and he showed me all of my guns standing in a corner and my Draco still in the Pelican case laying on the floor.
I asked , how did you guys find me . Welp he also stole my laptop which I had a copy of a FFL and my DL on my desktop. So they sent the local police to my house thats how they got in my house.
The only thing I havent recovered was the GP100 and a Katahdin ML barrel.
On my way home I called his Grandmother and told her that I needed to talk with her and her daughter ( the guys mother).
When we were all in one room I told them what I just found out, you wouldve thought they just lost a family member! I then told them I was gonna press charges and they said go right ahead , he just got out 2 weeks ago maybe this will wake him up!.
It was a blessing I got what I did back.
