I spoke with one of the customer reps with Diamond D Leather. They do the holsters with scopes, but they want me to send in the gun. Has anyone every sent their handgun off for something like this? Just put the Leupold 2.5x8 on it today. Ready to shoot an exotic with it.

They can't do it from a tracing and some measurements?

I am not sure what their process is, but my Diamond D holster is PERFECTLY molded to my gun.I don't see how they could come up with a similar product without having the exact gun and scope combo on hand.

When I was at the SCI Convention I visited with Bob Baker at the Freedom Arms booth and was very impressed with the shoulder holster they sell for a FA scoped 83. I am sure it would work pretty darn good for a scoped SBH, also. Very nice leather and great quality. Give Bob a call.

Von made my holster based on a tracing of the gun, a few key measurements and a few pics.

Wyoming Combination Holster. Here's a writeup I did. I've used it in the field several times since the write up and I am very happy with it.

Here is mine. It is the 7X Leather chest holster system. No need to send the gun for a perfect fit to your SBHH.

WY Combo Holster is super easy to take on and off and is no prob using binos or a pack. With my day pack on I carry it around my waste. The big strap with the snaps makes it....well.... a snap! When carrying it over the shoulder one extra snap for the belt is all you have to fool with.

See my above link for a bunch of pics. Since taking those pics in my kitchen I've used it in the field and it just plane works.

This is not really true and the video is a little deceptive... Because there is a yoke in the back that attaches the torso strap to the shoulder strap. This yoke needs to be centered on your spine in order for it to be most comfortable.

Had it not been true, I would not of posted it. This forum is for sharing GOOD information. I have this holster and have worn it. Had I not worn it, I wouldn't have had the information to share.

I'm very sorry, I did not mean to offend you. I edited my post because I did not mean to include all the helpful info that you posted in your post with my quote. When I re-read it I realized that I had made a mistake and it sounded terrible. Your reply to me was quite civil considering...Thank you.

The intent of my post was to just point out the lack of a moveable yoke. This yoke really needs to be able to move in order to relocate the harness attatchment point back to the center of your spine after you reposition the holster.
