I was doing some bluing in the shop and i needed to do some tweaking on the 500 and I just couldn't help myself so I grabbed the paint. The Bushnell survived my 45-70 BFR but it's been in a box for several years and I decided to dig it out and experiment with the paint on it too.

it's actually coyote tan which is a light almost greenish tan and it's Cerakote finish which is a bake on ceramic finish, it's excellent for guns that see a lot of wear or in areas where corrosion is a problem. It wears longer than blue and it's 5 times more corrosion resistant than stainless. It looks lighter in the pic than it is.

Another little thing I've started using on all my guns is the "Bullseye" ejector rods. I've found even with gloves on they make ejection much easier. Here is the pic from the other side where you can kind of see them.

Cool Rod. How is the cerakote holding up on revolvers?

yeah I'll eventually do something about the grips but for now it'll do. Sorry kral, hate it when i do that...NOT lol you guys have cost me enough by putting ideas in my head I'm glad to return the favor.

s4s4u this is the first revolver I've put it on and I still just blued the cylinder over clearance concerns but I'll let you kow. I don't expect any issues as it's still doing very well on my Encore barrels and sometime this summer I'll do my frames. I was thinking about doing the cylinder but the tolerances are tight enough I was afraid I might have some rubbing but if the bluing wears through I may try it anyways. I figure if it will stand up on a cylinder then it will stand up on anything.
