from what I could tell it's some type of shooting rest. Almost looks like something they would use in some of the long range rifle stuff but I'm not sure.

It doesn't feel like it would be very stable. Can you post on here for me? Maybe title it "Anyone know what this is?" . I can't post pics on here with my phone. :- (
