I run 85 gr NBT' s for Varmints and for Deer I use 115 NBT's. I use H4831SC for the powder. This is out of a rifle. Have not got a 25-06 barrel yet for my Encore pistol. My buddy had one and did not like the velocity he got out of his. 25-06 is BA on deer and varmints.

I have a .25-06 Encore, 15". I use IMR 4831 powder with no problems. I've taken deer and groundhogs with 85 gr.BT,100gr. BT, 100 gr. Hornady SP, 100 gr. TSX, 110 gr. Nosler ABs, 100 gr. Nosler PT, 120 gr. Nosler PT, and 90 gr. Sierra HPs. The best performance has been 100 gr. BT and 100 gr. PT.

I've had great luck with the 117 gr. hornady interlocks. Taken lots of antelope and deer and one bull elk with it. That was out of a rifle so not sure with the handgun. But they sure got the job done in good fashion.

I have a 15" Pro Hunter Encore. All I've shot out of it so far is Hornady factory ammo using a 117 gr. SST bullet. Haven't taken anything with it but shoots 1/2" groups at 70 yds. That's about as far as I'll shoot where I hunt here in PA.

I tend to like bullets on the heavier side in handguns. I hve been using Federal's 117 gr. factory load in its "blue box" series. These loads will cluster three shots at 100 yds, and clock 2,738 fps out of a 15" Encore. Around $22-$25 per box. The 117 gr load was originally a Speer bullet, and it appears the bullet is now a Sierra 115 gr. Works equally well on small antelope and large deer. I can pretty much duplicate the Federal load using the 115 Nosler BT and RL-19.
