Handgun Hunter Magazine - Publish Your Own Articles
A totally new site feature is the ability to add your own articles with photos. The photos are automatically re-sized so you don’t have to fool around with copying image URL’s or tagging them to get them to show up in the article. Just as with the existing articles you can also leave comments on the articles. The submitting member also has their display name posted with a link back to their profile in case you want to send them a private message. Feel free to play with the feature you can always delete your article pending approval.
Articles will be formatted just like the one you see in the picture below.

Below: your articles will appear on your “My Articles” page and indicate the status in the system.

Many of you have seen the game recipe feature by now but in case you haven’t, members can enter their own recipes. Just visit the Member Services page under Cool Stuff and you’ll see the links under the Game Recipes subheading.
Wild Game Recipes
Handgun Hunter Magazine adds a feature for members to add their game recipes to share with everyone on the planet. The first recipe added is Amy’s Venison Teryaki that boasts a rich teryaki flavor and is a great recipe to serve as an appetizer or main dish. If you just want to check out some great game recipes any one can view them under the “Cool Stuff” menu item. If you’re a member and would like to share your recipe with the rest of us then login and click on Cool Stuff->Member Services.

Handgun Hunter Magazine has established a Handgun Hunter Of The YearTM award and will be presenting it for the first time on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Dallas Safari Club’s annual convention and expo in Dallas, Texas. Kicking off the “DRUMBEATS” program for 2008, a distinctive bronze statue will be presented to the recipient of the award during the exhibitor’s banquet on the first evening of the convention. The individual selected shall be an avid handgun hunter, an active participant in preserving wildlife and habitat through wildlife management activities, a supporter of hunting and shooting sports, and a contributor to the sport of handgun hunting. This award is meant to be achievable by any individual regardless of means. The award judging period shall be for the 18 months prior to the close date. This year the deadline for applications is Dec. 1, 2008. The award period shall cover the time from May 1, 2007 until December 1, 2008.
